On March 28, Fundador Supremo celebrated the arrival of spring with an event in Tejada Mar, alongside its ambassador, chef Romain Fornell, and a group of entrepreneurs, restaurateurs, chefs, sommeliers, and gastronomy professionals.
With its ambassador, the French chef Romain Fornell, and coinciding with the opening of his restaurant Tejada Mar in Port Vell, Fundador Supremo welcomed spring with its best sherry wines, Jerez brandies, and even a “sailor” vermouth with unique nuances.
Ángel Piña, the person in charge of Fundador’s strategy worldwide, wanted to celebrate the arrival of spring with gastronomy and culture sector entrepreneurs, chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, and sommelier professionals, stating that “Jerez in general, and Bodegas Fundador in particular, have wines and brandies with an interesting and long journey to make among our restaurant and hospitality professionals. The reopening of Tejada Mar, along with the arrival of good weather in Barcelona, are the perfect occasion to discover them”. Tejada Mar is Romain Fornell’s proposal for seafood cuisine in front of Barcelona’s beach, where food pairing with Jerez wines and brandies is guaranteed.
Among the attendees were chefs and entrepreneurs such as Enrique Tomás, Javier de las Muelas from the Dry Martini group, Paco de la Rosa, Ly Leap from the Indochine restaurant, Alberto Depau from Hostal de La Gavina de S’Agaró, Pere Durán from the Penya Gastronómica Barça, Gregori Salas from the Casacas Rojas, Carlos Creuheras from Grupo Planeta, Jordi Esteve from the Nectari restaurant, Artur Estrada from the Olivé group, Antoni Falgueras from Celler de Gelida, Benet Ferrer from Aqua Hotel Group, Oscar and Carlos Manresa, Jaume Muedra from L’Òstia de la Barceloneta, Marc Taribó from Camarasa, Anna Birulés, Martín Pérez from the Pedralbes Festival and Enric Crous, president of the Governing Council of the Hospital Clínic, among others.
Ángel Piña and Romain Fornell offered their iconic and renewed Fundador Sherry Cask Solera Reserva brandy, combined with cola, and Fundador Supremo, the Prestige brandy from Bodegas Fundador, with which they topped off the evening. “Fundador Supremo is a distilled spirit aged in unique casks that have contained the best wines from Jerez: the Sherry Casks” -explains Ángel Piña. In addition, they introduced the attendees to other references such as the range of Harveys Jerez wines, essential for making the Jerez brandies of Fundador, as these are precisely the wines stored in the Sherry Casks where the brandies will age later, and they took the opportunity to present the new launch from Bodegas Fundador, the Vermut Marinero Garvey.
