Fundador, the iconic spirits brand, once again joined the charity event “Estrelas no Camiño”, held in Negreira (A Coruña). This event, which combines haute cuisine and solidarity, donates all its funds to the A Creba Association and the Barcala Foundation for People with Intellectual Disabilities, Galician entities dedicated to mental health and inclusion.

A Celebration with Michelin Stars

In its most recent edition, held on June 2, 2025 at the Casa Barqueiro Estate, “Estrelas no Camiño” hosted more than 30 prestigious chefs, collectively boasting over 70 Michelin stars. This event, driven for eleven years by the Rial brothers, Rogelio and Francisco, has turned this corner of Galicia into the epicenter of a day where good eating is put at the service of the common good.

Fundador: A Solidarity and Exquisite Contribution

Fundador, which has participated for the second consecutive year, offered tastings of its Supremo range, including its 12, 15 and 18-year-old varieties. These spirits, heirs to the most exclusive wines of Jerez, impressed chefs and experts with their aromatic complexity and elegance, both served alone and in carefully crafted cocktails.

Star Compliments

The praises were not long in coming. Yayo Daporta, chef of the restaurant bearing his name in Cambados, stated: “Fundador is a brand that we have been deeply ingrained with since childhood. It is a brandy as God commands, made in barrels (Sherry Cask) that give it its excellence. A drink to enjoy.” Elena Arzak and Valerio Carrera highlighted the complexity and character of the Fundador Supremo varieties, considering them ideal for after-dinner. Paco Roncero focused on the tradition and origin of these spirits, emphasizing their production in the oldest winery in the Marco de Jerez.

Creative Toasts and Memorable Moments

During the event, Bruno Oteiza left the phrase “Fundador is choosing to live” on the decorative barrels. Elio Fernández created an original cocktail, called Palomo, with Fundador Supremo 12 and grapefruit soda, while María Gómez and Adrián de Marcos confessed that Fundador Supremo 18 is a must-have on their drinks cart.

With events like “Estrelas no Camiño”, Fundador continues to demonstrate that tradition and innovation can come together to create unforgettable moments and support noble causes.
