
The oldest winery in the Marco de Jerez offered an exclusive experience for locals to discover its facilities and the new features of the season.

Bodegas Fundador opened its doors to the people of Jerez last Sunday, March 23, offering a free guided tour with brandy tasting. It was a unique opportunity to get to know the oldest winery in the Marco de Jerez from the inside.
Those who wished to live this experience booked their place in advance by sending an email to f.info@bodegasfundador.com The visit began at 12 o’clock and was free for the people of Jerez who proved their residence in the city by presenting their ID.
The people in charge of the wine tourism area designed this tour with special affection so that the residents of Jerez could discover the winery facilities, the daily work carried out there and the Brandy Fundador Museum, where they immersed themselves in the history of a category born in Jerez that has already turned 150 years old.
A day to celebrate the history and heritage of Jerez
This open house day, an initiative framed under the concept of “open day”, aimed to share with the people of Jerez the wealth of their heritage, offering an approach to the history, details and new initiatives of an emblematic winery for the city.
Guided tour itinerary
During the experience, attendees visited different areas of the winery:
- The gardens: declared Cultural Interest Asset by the Ministry of Culture of the Junta de Andalucía for its extension and variety of botanical species
- Patio del Sagrado Corazón: geographic center of the historical core of the winery
- Bodega La Mezquita: Monumental winery created to commemorate the centenary of Brandy Fundador.
- Bodega El Molino: The oldest in the Marco de Jerez, founded in 1730 and brimming with barrels signed by illustrious visitors.
- Fundador Museum: A journey through the history of Fundador, the first Spanish brandy.
- Reception center: Space where the brandy tasting was offered.
