Fundador has been one of the ambassador brands of the III Charity Dinner of the Responsible Energy Foundation against energy poverty, held on February 6 at the Rosewood Villamagna in Madrid.
Madrid, February 11, 2025
This solidarity meeting managed to raise 111,117 euros thanks to the support of dozens of companies in the sector and the participation of 300 professionals committed to giving visibility to a drama that affects one in five households in Spain, which lack access to heating. In 2024, this problem caused the death of 7,780 people due to exposure to extreme temperatures, a figure four times higher than the number of deaths in traffic accidents.
“For Fundador it is essential to support charitable events like this one, to advance in our strategy of commitment to social and environmental projects that generate a positive impact on society, and to create synergies with other companies and organizations that share our values“, expressed Ángel Piña, Global Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer of the Emperador group, during the charity dinner.
Bodegas Fundador has the SR10 international certification from AENOR, which certifies that its integrated management model is aligned with international standards in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility and economic and environmental sustainability. In addition, it has recently signed its adherence to the Diversity Charter, an initiative of the Foundation for Diversity and the European Commission, which endorses its commitment to inclusion and social diversity.
On her part, Isabel Jiménez, president of the Responsible Energy Foundation, thanked the support of Fundador and all the companies and administrations collaborating in this project, highlighting their role as key allies to ensure that all people, regardless of their situation, “can live in a decent and healthy home“.
According to data from the Foundation, although the energy sector is a strategic pillar, Spain has one of the highest rates of energy poverty in Europe, with 20.7%, compared to a community average of less than 10%.
The Responsible Energy Foundation has the support of public entities such as the Generalitat de Catalunya and the City Council of Castelldefels. The III Charity Dinner also had the backing of entities from the energy sector such as Visalia, Solidarity Light, Inclusive Light, JQ Advisors and Eternity Technologies, and other committed companies including Greenmont, Ucalsa, Ascendum, AG Integral Anti-Aging Clinic, Navarro and Associates, Araoz & Rueda, Gilmar, Sarabia and Associates, Campofrío, Great Spirits and Sifu Foundation.
Also, they collaborated as ambassadors, donating products and services: Vanila Events, Vin Doré 24K, Hard Rock Marbella, Aguas de Ibiza Hotel, Navidul, Social Impact, Ipanema, Puerto Bahía Hotel & Spa, Alcotán, Debest Home, Albo Canned Goods, Quadro Framing and Art, Aristocray, N4US and André Optics.
